SUMMARY:Being with your nervous system : a practice circle for change-ready
  humans : AU/UK/Asia timezone
DESCRIPTION:A small\, live online series for people doing complex\, people
‑facing work who want to stay more grounded\, not more burnt out.\nComple
x work asks a lot of your nervous system. Big projects\, difficult conversa
tions\, competing demands – on the outside you keep showing up\, but on t
he inside your system can feel constantly “on”: tight chest in meetings
\, racing mind at night\, or a kind of flatness when you most want to be pr
esent.\nBeing with Your Nervous System is a three‑session practice circl
e where we slow down\, make sense of what your system is doing\, and experi
ment with small\, realistic ways to support yourself in the midst of change
. It’s light on theory\, strong on lived practice\, and designed for chan
ge‑ready humans who are already carrying a lot.\nWho this is for\nThis ci
rcle is for you if:\n\n\nYou work with people and complexity – as a desig
 ner\, facilitator\, researcher\, organiser\, leader\, advocate\, or carer.\
n\n\nYou notice stress and load showing up in your body (tension\, shutdown
\, jittery “on‑ness”) and you want to understand this without patholo
gising yourself.\n\n\nYou’re curious about nervous system literacy\, but
you want something grounded and human\, not jargon‑heavy or clinical.\n\n
\nYou’d like a small\, relational space to practise\, not just learn ide
as – with others who also care about how they show up in the world.\n\n\n
No prior somatics or trauma training is required. Just some curiosity and w
illingness to experiment.\nWhat we’ll do together\nAcross three live onli
 ne gatherings\, we’ll explore:\nSession 1 : Meeting your nervous system i
n the midst of change\n\n\nSimple\, plain‑language orientation to how the
nervous system responds to stress and ease.\n\n\nGuided body‑based refle
ction to notice where activation\, numbness and settling show up for you.\n
\n\nMapping how this links to your real work and life (projects\, relations
 hips\, care\, community).\n\n\nOne tiny practice to try between sessions.\n
\n\nSession 2 : Patterns of protection and small supports\n\n\nNaming commo
 n protective patterns – speeding up\, shutting down\, bracing\, people‑
 pleasing – as understandable strategies\, not failures.\n\n\nConnecting t
hese patterns to the contexts you move in (workshops\, interviews\, meeting
s\, family).\n\n\nTrying a couple of low‑key regulation practices you can
  use in real time (breath\, movement\, orienting\, boundaries).\n\n\nChoosi
ng one experiment to take into the next few weeks.\n\n\nSession 3 : Being w
ith\, not overriding\n\n\nExploring what it might mean to “be with” you
r experience rather than overriding or pushing through.\n\n\nPractising sta
ying with mild sensations and emotions in short\, supported ways\, with lot
s of choice.\n\n\nMapping the supports and rhythms that help your nervous s
ystem recover and stay resourced.\n\n\nNaming what you want to carry forwar
d after the circle ends.\n\n\nThere may also be an optional integration cal
l later if the group desires it.\nWhat you’ll leave with\nBy the end of t
he series\, you can expect to have:\n\n\nA clearer sense of your own nervou
s system patterns under pressure.\n\n\nA small toolkit of simple\, doable p
ractices you can use in daily life and work.\n\n\nMore language and insight
to notice when you’re nearing your own edges and what helps you return.\
n\n\nA felt experience of being in a small\, supportive group where nervous
‑system realities are named and normalised.\n\n\nThis is not therapy and
not clinical training. It’s a human‑scaled practice space to support ho
w you move through complex work and life.\nPractical details\n\n\nFormat:

ent research and lived practice around stress\, trauma and nervous system l
iteracy\, but it doesn’t ask you to sign up to any one theory. The focus
is on low‑risk\, practical ways to notice what your own system is doing a
nd to offer it a little more support\, in the middle of the life you actual
ly have.\nJoin us\nIf you’d like to explore your own nervous system with
more curiosity and care\, and practise doing that alongside others who are
also working with complexity\, you’re warmly invited to join this cohort.
